For years Carrera was the ‘go to’ slot car company for 1/32 Formula One slot cars. Then two years ago, they stopped making F1 slot cars. Scalextric has just moved in to fill that void. Three releases from Scalextric, all classics and in my opinion great choices. First is the Lotus 99T in the Camel livery driven by Ayrton Senna and Satoru Nakajima beginning in 1987 with much success. Next is one of my favorites, the First National City Bank 6 wheel Tyrrell P34 as raced in 1977. Last is the iconic John Player Special Renault Elf in black and gold again driven by Ayrton Senna in the Portuguese Grand Prix in 1985. All are in stock and are $69.99 each.
Tomy isn’t releasing a lot of cars this year as usual, but each one is a winner. This is the Ford GT40 Mark IV driven by Mario Andretti and Bruce McLaren at the 12 Hour Sebring race of 1967, the iconic Yellow No.1 Mk IV was and still is a head-turner. Power is supplied by the Mega G+ chassis. Car has clear windows and a full color interior. $49.99 Call for a front door pickup or call in a mail order 908-322-2676.
This might be one of the coolest slot cars ever made (my opinion.) It is the Blues Brothers Dodge Monaco Bluesmobile 1/32 scale Scalextric Slot Car. This is an analog car but is Digital Plug Ready. If you have a Carrera Digital set, the Carson chip offered elsewhere on this website should work. $69.99

The NJH-02 Bauer Special Edition Porsche 911 Targas have arrived and they are fantastic! Bauer has once again outdone itself! I have started to ship out cars to those who pre ordered one. Again, orders are limited to one per customer so everyone has a chance to own one of the very special HO slot cars. One of the first cars shipped out got this response in an unsolicited email:
“I just that car in the mail today, and wow that is well done. I’m still trying to figure out how he did the sunglasses! The Targa was such a good idea to have open. “
The price until May 5 is $109.99 and will go up to $129.99 after that. More than half this very limited production is already sold. Don’t miss out!
Just arriving this Spring from Bauer of Germany NJH-02 was this VERY limited edition HO slot car. This is the second special edition car from Bauer exclusively for NJ Nostalgia Hobby. If you were lucky enough to get NJH-01 the two tone (red and white vintage VW beetle) you know the level of detail will be fantastic. NJH-02 is a Porsche 911 Targa with open top and for the first time I can recollect in an HO slot car a female driver. This will be a blonde woman with wind blown long blond hair (see pics). I am allowing the purchase of only ONE car per person . This is to assure everyone who wants one gets a chance to own one. Direct purchase price $134.99 + shipping. Please call 908-322-2676 Wednesday through Saturday noon till 6 PM only to get yours. Only 50 were made for me and only a couple of handfuls remain.
Different angle of the driver figure.
While new items are showing up less frequently there are still a few things worth taking a look at. In HO: Bauer added this new vehicle for 2022. It is the DKW1000S Monte Carlo Rally 1959 Start no. 132 Article number: 15004285 Prototypical replica This interesting vehicle is now equipped with the DK-4 undercarriage from the manufacturer “JAG Hobbies”. A can motor chassis it will be interesting to see how it compares to the t-jet and t-jet clone chassis Bauer has used for 30 years. This limited edition is in stock and ready to ship. $109.99 + shipping/insurance.
New from Tomy AFX is this beautiful Ford GT40 with clear windows and full color interior. Power is provided by a Mega G+ chassis $53.99 in stock and ready to ship or front door pick up.
It had been my plan to open the store to the public one day a week beginning either Saturday July 31 or Saturday August 7, 2021 having been closed to the public since March of 2020. Unfortunately that is when the Delta variant drove the number of CoVid cases up again. I then planned to open Mid December 2021 and Omicron hit. At this time I have no plan to open to the public. Thank you for your patience and your patronage.
I will still be filling mail, phone and internet orders and allowing pre arranged front door pickups. If you would like photos sent to you by email of items you may be interested in please contact me at email@example.com or call 908-322-2676 Wednesdays through Saturdays between the hours of 11:30 and 6 PM. Regards and stay well. Joe
