BAUER MGB CONVERTIBLE HO SLOT CAR SNOW BERRY WHITE FULL INTERIOR WOW!

Just when I thought Bauer couldn’t add more detail to their already spectacular offerings along comes their latest.  This MGB roadster body would never have worked on a stock t-jet or similar clone chassis so it sits on the new Bauer UL (ultra low) chassis.  This allows the car to have a full interior with hand painted driver complete down to his knees.  Examine the pictures carefully to see the many details featured on this model.  Price reflects Euro to dollar conversion including shipping costs from Europe.  Examine pictures closely as they are part of the description.  E-mail questions.

$119.99

NOTE: I ONLY SHIP ON WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAYS.

The long or short wheelbase version of the new Bauer UL (ultra low) chassis is available separately for $31.99.

MIKE PISANO CLASSIC AUGUST 2023 AT HENRY HARNISH’S

Hello Race Fans,
On August 20th 2023 we’ll be celebrating the 11th anniversary of the “Mike Pisano Classic” HO slot car race. This race is in honor of my son Mike who I lost way too early in his life to leukemia.
Thanks to all my friends and family for all the previous celebrations which were held at N.J. hobby in Scotch Plains for 8 years. After missing the 2020 race because of Covid I was honored that Henry Harnish held the last 2 years races at his Randolph Raceway Complex 42 SCHOOLHOUSE ROAD RANDOLPH NJ 07869. Henry has generously offered to hold it there again this year.
Over the years this race has been a great success thanks to all of those who attended, generously offered door prizes, many free give-a-ways items, auction items and cash donations. All money raised because of their generosity has been donated to the Leukemia Foundation.
OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS THANKS TO THE GENEROSITY OF ALL MY SLOT CAR FRIENDS THROUGHOUT THE HOBBY AND FAMILY I’M PROUD TO SAY WE’VE DONATED OVER $15.000 TO THE LEUKEMIA FOUNDATION TO FIGHT THIS TERRIBLE DISEASE.
This will be a great day of racing with 2 IROC races scheduled with cars built and tuned by Derek Wright and Paul Kniffen so please come, have some fun and honor Mike. The race gives us an opportunity to help give as much as we can to help those inflicted with this terrible disease.
The date is: August 20th 2023 racing starts at 9:30am, the doors open at 8:00am.
Race Fee: $10 per racer
Lunch: New York Style Pizza
THANKS YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT
MARIO “THE CHIEF “PISANO

I AM OPEN TO WALK IN CUSTOMERS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 3 YEARS

After 3 years of being closed to walk in customers, due primarily to Covid and latter the store being used to operate a mail and internet order business, I am open again.  Effective immediately I will be open to the public Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon till 6 PM.  I have made sure all showcases are fully stocked, most with fresh vintage merchandise. I hope to eventually have HO races on my 6 lane routed 16 x 5 1/2 foot table.  Day and time will depend on interest level, so if you want to race let me know.

I will still be doing internet, mail and phone sales, so please LMK your interests at njhobby@aol.com or call during the above hours 908-322-2676.  If you are planning a visit, especially if you are coming any distance, I would advise a phone call to verify that I will be available when you would like to visit.  I will do my best to post times on this website when I might have to close for any reason.

Until July 22 all new Carrera and Scalextric 1/32 cars and sets are 15% off marked price (cash, Visa, Master Card or Discover only) This does not apply to vintage items.  I look forward to your visits and calls.

NJ NOSTALGIA HOBBY LIMITED EDITION JAMES DEAN COMMEMORATIVE PORSCHE 356

James Dean was an American actor.  He is remembered as a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, as expressed in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause, in which he starred as troubled teenager Jim Stark.  He was also a ‘car guy’.  He was killed when his Porsche 550 Spyder, which he had named the ‘Little Bastard’ was T-boned by a much larger Ford Tudor sedan in an intersection.

Around 2009 a group built a commemorative Porsche 356 as a tribute to Dean.  This HO slot car from Bauer Modelautobahnnen is that tribute car.  Produced in exacting detail as all Bauer cars are this car even has a James Dean figure behind the wheel.  This is NJH-003 the third special edition car from Bauer made especially for NJ Nostalgia Hobby.  Production was limited to 50 cars for NJ Nostalgia Hobby and I suspect they will sell out fast.  SOLD OUT

Initial offering from NJ Nostalgia Hobby only will be $116.99 + shipping. Don’t delay get yours soon!  908-322-2676  WEDNESDAY – SATURDAY NOON TILL 6

WHATS NEW IN ONE THIRTY TWO 101422

For years Carrera was the ‘go to’ slot car company for 1/32 Formula One slot cars.  Then two years ago, they stopped making F1 slot cars.  Scalextric has just moved in to fill that void.  Three releases from Scalextric, all classics and in my opinion great choices.  First is the Lotus 99T in the Camel livery driven by Ayrton Senna and Satoru Nakajima beginning in 1987 with much success.  Next is one of my favorites, the First National City Bank 6 wheel Tyrrell P34 as raced in 1977.  Last is the iconic John Player Special Renault Elf in black and gold again driven by Ayrton Senna in the Portuguese Grand Prix in 1985.  All are in stock and are $69.99 each.

AFX MEGA G+ 22025 Collector Series Clear Ford GT40 Mk IV No.1 Sebring

Tomy isn’t releasing a lot of cars this year as usual, but each one is a winner.  This is the Ford GT40 Mark IV driven by Mario Andretti and Bruce McLaren at the 12 Hour Sebring race of 1967, the iconic Yellow No.1 Mk IV was and still is a head-turner. Power is supplied by the Mega G+ chassis.  Car has clear windows and a full color interior.  $49.99 Call for a front door pickup or call in a mail order 908-322-2676.
